Cineworld
Cineworld was founded in 1995 and all but three of its cinemas are "multiplex" with five or more screens per site. In the past year Cineworld has delivered five out of the top eight highest grossing cinemas across the UK and Ireland. Of its portfolio of 75 cinemas Cineworld has 66 sites with digital capability, more than any other exhibitor in the UK. Cineworld currently has 64 sites with 3-D screens.
The Cineworld Group is one of the leading cinema groups in the UK and Ireland in terms of the number of sites, screens and admissions. It has a portfolio of 78 cinemas and 790 screens operating under the Cineworld brand which stretches as far north and south as Aberdeen and Jersey and as far east and west as Ipswich and Dublin.
